The GDM Impact Report celebrates the work of the hundreds of individuals and organisations across the GDM Network.

The Get Doncaster Moving (GDM) Impact Report highlights our collective impact in communities, 2023/24.

The report celebrates the work of hundreds of individuals and organisations across the GDM Network who have contributed to our vision of 'healthy and vibrant communities through movement, physical activity and sport' over the past year.

The impact report looks at all GDM strategy themes, provides an update on key statistics per theme, and provides a number of examples of the partnership in action. There is also a spotlight section on Dance, and the progress made through the dance on programme, led by darts. The report also looks ahead to the priorities for 2024/25 and outlines areas of focus.

Read the GDM Impact Report online, and/or download a copy (you will be able to zoom in by selecting the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of the screen if you wish to view online).

Highlights from the report include:

  • Overall levels of physical inactivity are falling. For adults, Doncaster is narrowing the gap with the England average and outperforms England for children and young people. The report provides updates on how Doncaster is faring against Sport England's four priorities.
  • The GDM Network has increased significantly over the past year. Connections within the network have trebled, and there's been an increase in the number of shared collaborations between network members. This information is gleaned from the annual partner survey and social network analysis.

This year's annual partner survey and social network analysis is live now until the end of October: Partner Survey and SNA | Get Doncaster Moving

The GDM Network will come together again in the new year at the annual GDM Summit. More details to follow soon: GDM Summit: This is a movement | Get Doncaster Moving
