Partner Survey and SNA

Get Doncaster Moving conducts an annual partner survey and social network analysis to formally gather the views of the network and understand more about how we are working together to achieve the Get Doncaster Moving vision: "Healthy, vibrant communities through movement, physical activity and sport".

The survey is a key piece of work for Get Doncaster Moving and is used to evaluate the strength of the network and where support is required.

The survey is in two parts, as follows:

• Part 1: The partner survey. This takes about 5-10 minutes to complete and asks for your views about addressing physical inactivity in Doncaster.
• Part 2: Social network analysis. You will be asked to identify the people you work in partnership with, to address physical inactivity. This helps us to measure how the network of people, groups and organisations involved in Get Doncaster Moving is changing over time.

Your time and contribution to this is really appreciated. No matter how big or small that you perceive your role to be, please take part, as every perspective matters. Please be open and honest in your responses; there are no right or wrong answers. Even if addressing physical inactivity is not a key feature of your role, we are still keen to hear from you. Simply enter 'not applicable' or 'don't know' if there is a question you cannot answer. Rest assured the information that comes from the survey is really valuable and useful insight that helps us understand what's happening in the physical activity system in Doncaster. The survey will close at midnight on Thursday 31st October 2024.

It is really important that we reach as many people in the network as possible so that we can get a clear and reliable picture of the network as it stands currently. As well as completing the survey yourself, please share this with any of your colleagues or contacts in other organisations who play a role in tackling physical inactivity in Doncaster. Within the social network analysis part of the survey, you will be making a list of your key contacts, so please consider sending a link to this webpage to those contacts, so that they too can complete the survey and we can get an even broader and richer picture of the work happening in Doncaster.

The partner survey and social network analysis is being managed independently by CFE Research who are evaluating the Doncaster Local Delivery Pilot, which is part of Get Doncaster Moving. Any personal information you submit in the partner survey will be protected in line with GDPR and your survey response will not be seen by the GDM team. At the end of the partner survey, there are questions relating to a social network analysis (SNA). The aim of the social network analysis is to help GDM understand who is involved in the network and how it is evolving over time. The answers to the questions for the SNA will be shared with the GDM team in Doncaster Council.
